Scarface is a 1983 American crime drama film directed by Brian De Palma, written by Oliver Stone, and starring Al Pacino. It is a remake of the 1932 film of the same name, In turn based on the novel of the same name first published in 1930 by Armitage Trail. It tells the story of Cuban refugee Tony Montana (Pacino), who arrives penniless in Miami during the Mariel boatliftand becomes a powerful drug lord. The film co-stars Steven Bauer, Michelle Pfeiffer, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Robert Loggia, Míriam Colón and F. Murray

Scarface is an extremely and consistently entertaining movie despite its runtime, one that also leaves you plenty to think about. For Tony, becoming a drug lord was his way of achieving the American dream, but it came at a cost.
Like most gangster or mafia movies, Scarface is a must watch. The whole feels of this movie between the very strong performances and its thrilling storyline; everything is just so carefully made. The legend is Al Pacino as Tony Montana, and the way he plays the character spot on with critical rawness and depth in his portrayal. Its soundtrack, an adrenaline-dripping drum and score combo, played in conjunction with the ensuing high-stakes drama taking place onscreen add an eerie level of anticipation to the experience. A classic in its genre, Scarface is one of the best to ever do it. If you haven't watched it, now is the best time.
